What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Schaefer Medical Center - Dearborn?
Schaefer Medical Center is looking for an experienced, responsible, motivated, energetic and cheerful Medical Assistant to help in our growing internal medicine practice in Dearborn.
Responsibilities include providing basic medical services to patients, reviewing and recording medical history, taking vital signs, operating simple medical equipment (e.g. EKG, PFT, etc.), responding to patients' phone requests (e.g., making appointments, prescription refills, referrals, etc.) and performing various other clerical and administrative duties.
The applicant must be capable of multi-tasking and must demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance verification. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is required (**Experience with EPIC EMR is highly desirable **)
Excellent growth potential for qualified individuals. Starting pay rate will be determined based on qualification and experience.
