Schad Meats, a successful 40-year-old Cincinnati business, is seeking an enthusiastic Meat Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate has strong leadership abilities, hands-on experience in meat cutting and processing, and an understanding of USDA/HACCP regulations. Most importantly, we desire an individual with the drive and commitment to join new investors as we pursue our next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in daily meat processing, portioning, packaging, and distribution
- Maintain product quality, yield standards, and consistent production output
- Ensure compliance and reporting with HACCP, USDA, FSIS, and SSOP
- Train, mentor, and supervise a small production
- Develop and manage production schedules based on demand
- Monitor and schedule facilities and equipment maintenance schedules
- Participate in vendor relations, purchasing and customer service
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in meat processing or food production
- Track record of proven supervisory experience
- Certification or knowledge of USDA, HACCP, and FSIS regulations
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and other programs
- Valid driver’s license
