What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper/Mower position at Scentsy Inc?
Description
Master Landscaping is looking for a Groundskeeper/Mower to maintain the aesthetic appearance of various lawns of all Scentsy owned properties through mowing/edging from March through November and perform a wide variety of groundskeeping tasks from December through February.
What You'll Do:
- Assist the Mow Crew Supervisor in maintaining all lawn areas throughout the growing season
- Ensure lawns are mowed and trimmed at proper heights with straight lines
- Ensure flowerbeds, hard surfaces, and walkways are free of debris, clippings, and weeds
- Edge walkways, flowerbeds, and curbs
- Operate landscape equipment including, but not limited to, riding lawnmowers, walking mowers, string trimmers, edgers, backpack blower, etc.
- Maintain existing landscape design and ensure plant survival
- Rake fallen leaves, remove tree limbs, overgrowth, and other hazards
- Pick up trash, debris, and other miscellaneous materials from the grounds
- Help others in the facilities department as needed, including afterhours events as needed
- Help Fertilize lawn and plants
- Ensure employee safety during inclement weather by removing debris, snow, and ice from communal walkways and spaces as needed
- Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed
We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, required
- Experience and knowledge of operating landscape maintenance equipment, i.e., riding lawn mowers, walking mowers, string trimmers, edgers, backpack blowers, etc.
- Knowledge and experience installing or maintaining sprinkler systems is a plus
- Knowledge and experience installing landscaping such as pavers, plants, and sod is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly daily
