Role Description The Dog Groomer at Scenthound in Lynnwood, WA is a full-time, on-site role responsible for providing safe, high-quality grooming services to dogs in a wellness-focused environment. Day-to-day tasks include bathing, brushing, clipping, and trimming coats, nails, and other areas according to Scenthound standards and guardian preferences. The role involves monitoring each dog’s comfort and safety, recognizing signs of stress or health concerns, and following established cleaning and sanitation procedures. The Dog Groomer will also interact directly with customers to explain services, review grooming options, and provide feedback on each visit. Qualifications
- Strong skills in Pet Grooming and Clipping, with the ability to perform breed-appropriate and wellness-focused grooming services.
- Experience in hands-on Pet Care, including safe handling, monitoring behavior, and maintaining a calm environment for dogs of varying sizes and temperaments.
- Ability to deliver excellent Customer Service, building positive relationships with dog guardians and explaining grooming services clearly.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and accurate documentation of services provided.
- Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to follow standardized grooming and safety protocols.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and handle dogs safely, and perform repetitive grooming tasks.
