Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Collision Center-Back End Production Assistant to oversee and optimize the post-repair operations within our collision repair facility. This role requires expertise in production management, manufacturing processes, and supply chain logistics to ensure efficient workflow, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all back-end production activities within the collision center, ensuring timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Utilize SAP, MRP, and other ERP systems to plan, monitor, and optimize production schedules, inventory levels, and resource allocation.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline operations.
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure repairs meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Manage supply chain logistics by analyzing supply chain data and managing vendor relationships to ensure the availability of parts and materials.
- Collaborate with front-end staff to facilitate seamless operations from vehicle intake through final inspection.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production throughput, cycle times, and defect rates; develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork across the back-end production team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing or automotive environment; collision repair experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and other supply chain management tools like MRP.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing methodologies, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair processes and assembly operations.
- Demonstrated ability in production planning, operations management, and supply chain analytics.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and safety regulations applicable to manufacturing or collision repair facilities.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
