Full-Time Temporary Activities Assistant (6 month assignment)

Description

Scenic Living Communities is a continuing care retirement community in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Scenic Living Communities offers several levels of living including independent living, assisted living, short-term rehab, and long-term care.

Overview:   The Activities Assistant is responsible in assisting with the activities program at Scenic Living Communities. Has the ability to communicate effectively and advocate for resident centered care.

Schedule: 8:15 AM - 4:45 PM Monday-Friday

Additional Hours: One Saturday per month (approximately 2 hours) and one weeknight per month

Duties and Responsibilities:   Duties are determined by Scenic Living Communities’ needs and may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Follows and upholds Scenic Living Communities’ philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident’s quality of care and quality of life
• Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests
• Assist with in-house activities, community events and entertainment programs that are of interest to the campus resident population
• Assist with preparing monthly activity calendar
• Ability to direct and supervise volunteers
• Provide transportation to and from scheduled community activities and supervise resident outings

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid drivers license, class D driver's license and have a good driving record.
