Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity.
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support medication administration and ensure adherence to care plans while maintaining safety protocols such as manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods like the Hoyer lift.
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to promote health and well-being.
- Conduct patient observation and monitor behaviors, especially for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and ensuring compliance with health standards.
- Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings while ensuring client safety during travel.
- Document all care activities accurately in client records and communicate effectively with team members regarding resident progress or concerns.
