Job Overview
We are seeking a Transportation Yard/ Forklift Driver to join our team in our Fresno, CA location!

We are looking for an energetic knowledgeable Yard/ Forklift Driver to assist the Transportation Manager and cross train as needed in areas designated by the Manager. This position would also require Forklift Experience.
Reports directly to The Transportation Lead & Transportation Manager

Essential Functions
1. Check in with Lead or Manager for Daily updates needed.
2. Report to morning meeting at 6:00am. (must be on time)
3. Forklift drive if needed daily or as fill in.
4. Loading and unloading Trucks.
5. Report all maintenance/repairs and other tasks as requested with maintenance request form to Lead or Manager.
6. Check all materials in the south lot on Truck and Trailer, Load and secure the loading and unloading of Trailers.
7. Daily & Monthly paperwork for Safety and Inspections.
8. Load security.
9. Preparing lot load list daily submitted.
10. Housekeeping.
11. Verifying paperwork and checking for loads and load plans daily.
12. Equipment accountability.
13. Communication.
14. End of day checks on all trailers and trucks loaded for safety etc.
15. Operate company-owned tractor-trailer trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
16. Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
17. Maintain all required certifications required!
18. Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition.
19. (Do not alter Scelzi equipment or property)
20. Properly track and document activity log
21. Tarp all loads Steel, Wood, Aluminum Mandatory.
22. Report any issues or incidents to the Manager immediately.
Additional functions listed below requested by Manager if needed.
1. Check for any special projects or training needed.
2. Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
3. Report all maintenance/repairs and other tasks as requested with maintenance request form.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office, or moderately loud when in the field.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and listen. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Typically 40 hours a week 6:00am. to finish/ some Saturday work as requested by Manager.
This is a full-time Hourly position.
Preferred Education and Experience
2.Driving Record (Must provide Motor Vehicle Report)
5.Knowledge of loading and securing freight on a flatbed trailer. Tarping Required.
7. Forklift Certified
Preferred Education and Experience
Clean driving record.

Job duties and instructions can change based on Scelzi Enterprises Inc’s policies and procedures.
Experience in transporting trucks on 53’ Step Deck Trailer or Car-Hauling Trailer
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
