Description: Currently seeking an IT Desktop Support Technician that will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues for the company. Position requires individuals to interact with department managers and internal staff closely, diplomatically, and technically. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Duties include hardware and software installation, and deployment of PCs and peripherals, with a focus on mobile devices, OS, and applications. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing the highest quality customer service are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
· Serve as a first point of contact for troubleshooting and reporting of technical issues, answering questions regarding software, hardware, and/or network issues, effectively escalate issues to the appropriate resources when necessary.
· Clearly and thoroughly document support requests and problem resolutions using ticketing and document management systems, and track incidents through resolution/escalation.
· Ability to prioritize work and exercise sound judgement while managing multiple tasks.
· Provide operational technical support to staff relating to company equipment.
· Provide ongoing equipment and software life-cycle maintenance and support.
· Provide on-site service support, installation, and configuration of Windows PCs, mobile devices, VOIP telephony, and other network based solutions.
· Interface with hardware and software vendors to facilitate installation and repairs, working to continually evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness when resolving issues.
· Maintain all necessary hardware and software inventories for all company equipment.
· Support and maintain user account information including rights, security, and systems groups in Active Directory and other internal business systems.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a technical support or helpdesk role.
- Proficiency with current Windows desktop and Microsoft Server OS and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration and Troubleshooting.
- Mobile Device Management administration and use for centralized management.
- Knowledge and experience supporting, troubleshooting, and configuring PC Hardware.
- End-User desktop support, mobile device support, email support, phone support, etc.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and handle interruptions while maintaining flexibility in work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact with diverse personalities while maintaining a professional attitude.
· Ability to lift and/or move computer equipment and boxes up to 40lbs. Must obtain a valid driver license and be insurable.
· Must pass Scelzi Enterprises pre-employment physical and drug test.
Education & Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- CompTIA certifications preferred
- Any Technical certifications in a similar field are a plus.
Salary & Compensation: DOE, Job is an hourly position with no option for remote work.
