We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion on the HVAC mechanical trade throughout the state of Florida in multifamily complexes during new construction phasing. Note: This position requires frequent travel throughout given territory as needed to ensure control, and must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. This pivotal role involves managing on-site operations, coordinating teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities
Travel throughout Florida as needed to supervise jobsite progress and QA/QC.
Actively check on other Superintendents/Foreman throughout respective Florida territory to ensure adherence to construction plans and local codes crossed with the construction schedule requirements.
Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate seamless workflow and communication.
Develop detailed project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or Primavera, ensuring timely progression of tasks.
Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work against blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; utilize tools like Ohmmeter for electrical testing when necessary.
Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, reviewing contracts, and implementing effective cost control measures.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce safety protocols across all team members.
Review construction drawings and schematics thoroughly to plan work sequences and resource allocation effectively.
Utilize construction estimating tools like HeavyBid for accurate material takeoffs and cost forecasting.
Supervise subcontractors and labor crews, providing guidance on construction techniques, safety procedures, and schedule adherence.
Maintain comprehensive documentation including daily reports, incident logs, progress photos, and quality assurance records.
Implement project scheduling updates using management tools such as Primavera P6 or other construction management software to track milestones and deadlines.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting best practices in construction management and quality standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in HVAC mechanical in multifamily development complexes and high-rises.
Extensive knowledge of construction management software including Procore, Bluebeam, Management systems, and Construction site experience.
Extensive experience in managing multiple locations spread out over a territory and proven ability to be on the road a majority of the time.
Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
Strong supervisory skills with a history of managing diverse teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards aligned with OSHA regulations.
Familiarity with technical tools such as Ohmmeter for electrical testing and proficiency in using construction management software for planning and reporting purposes.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate across multiple stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate schematics into actionable work plans on-site.
Knowledge of relevant safety protocols including OSHA standards; ability to enforce safety policies consistently across the project site.
Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour or 500-Hour Trainer certification are preferred; experience with Primavera P6 or Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management is highly desirable.
