ScaVet Technologies, LLC (SVT) established in 2006 as a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), will provide overall Program Management and Technical Support for this effort. SVT’s DHS experience includes Federal Law Enforcement Training, National Preparedness Strategy, National Preparedness Policy, Budget Analysis, Test and Evaluation, Research and Development, Independent Verification and Validation, Environmental Health and Safety, and Facilities Management.
SVT is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Inspector to support The James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC). JJRTC is the primary training facility for the United States Secret Service (USSS). The campus is located at 9200 Powder Mill Road in Laurel, Maryland on approximately 490 acres. JJRTC must provide the best training environment to USSS law enforcement Agents, Officers and civilian support personnel. The PM will provide a range of analytical and planning, design, and construction management support services to assist the JJRTC Facility Engineering Branch in the accomplishment of its missions.
The QC Inspector will ensure the contractor implements an effective quality control (QC) program and uses the provisions daily to control the quality of the work. Review contract deliverables and submittals for conformance and perform daily inspections to verify all work is in strict compliance with the contract, and request correction of any deficiencies. Develop a construction QA plan for each project including inspection, testing, and reporting procedures, as well as plans for monitoring corrective actions taken by contractors. Prepare daily written QA reports recording all discussion with contractor QC staff as well as deficiencies. QA reports should be completed and submitted within 48 hours. Participate in the pre-construction meetings for each construction work item requiring such by the QA plan. Monitor QC inspection and testing activities performed by the contractor. May include working some nights and weekends as the project schedule dictates
Qualifications
Four-year degree in construction management, engineering or related field . Minimum of 10 years construction management and/or craft supervision experience commercial or Government construction projects
