We’re seeking an experienced, compassionate professional to help lead a residential team that empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives.
What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Manager, you’ll work directly with individuals in a group home setting while supporting the overall management of the program. You’ll:
- Provide hands-on support with personal care, mobility, and activities of daily living.
- Teach and encourage workplace, social, and independent living skills.
- Support individuals in community-based activities such as appointments, shopping, recreation, and social events.
- Assist with medical and behavioral health needs as directed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Therap database and complete required reports.
- Help manage scheduling, training, and staff supervision.
- Assist with Individual Service Plan (ISP) preparation and implementation.
- Monitor behavior and personal allowance (PAL) accounts for compliance and accuracy.
- Provide leadership and coverage in the absence of the manager.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED (required); some college coursework preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Dependable, professional, and committed to person-centered support.
