Description: Scarborough High School is lookning for an Instructional Coach/Math Teacher to join both its Instructional Coaching Program and its Math Department. As a member of the Instructional Coaching Program, the ideal candidate will provide content area curriculum coordination and instructional quality in collaboration with building and district leadership. Responsibilities for this part of the role include curriculum coordination and articulation; data management, analysis, and action planning; professional development, support and evaluation, and new teacher/professional selection and orientation. This position will also teach some Math courses at the High School. In this capacity, the ideal candidate will:
Attendance at Instructional Coaching meetings is required. Attendance at monthly faculty meetings and department meetings is also expected, as is participation in monthly Professional Learning Teams meetings. Participation in IEP and 504 meetings is also a requirement.
SHS has a block schedule with 75 minute classes (four blocks per day) with two classes plus a duty on one day, and three classes on the other. In addition, there is an academic support period of 35 minutes every day with an Advisory meeting held during that time twice a month.
