Scan-Shipping has an immediate opening at our Los Angeles branch located in Long Beach, California for an experienced Pricing Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• To assist Scan-Shipping USA with timely and competitive rates for air, domestic, LCL, FCL, and project cargo.
• Generate air export & Import quotes in Phoenix based on overseas request.
• Generate LCL and FCL Import & Export quotes in Phoenix based on overseas request.
• Provide domestic rates via the TMS system, Domestic services or spot rates.
• Generate Project quotes in Phoenix based on overseas request.
• Regular internal and external customer contact as required.
• Regular use of all Scan-Shippings operational system, and online tools.
• Regular internal contact with collegues as required.
• Participate in RFQ’s when necessary.
  
  

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Knowledge of import and export air freight services, carriers, aircraft types, rate structures, carrier hubs, with the ability to calculate chargeable weight and identify which aircraft cargo would fit into.
• Knowledge of import and export LCL services, how to calculate cubic meters, weight and measure, carrier lanes, and the proper origin and destination CFS’s.
• Incoterms.
• Knowledge of import and export FCL services, how to calculate space requirements, carrier lanes, and the proper origin and destination ramps/ports.
• Understanding of container sizes.
• Understanding of domestic trucking and services.
• Understanding of rate tables, tariffs, and what rates would apply per service/products.
• Ability to procure, review, and analyze offers/proposals thoroughly from various vendors and partners.
