Duties
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting, sod laying, and hardscape construction such as patios and walkways
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform trimming, mowing, edging, and general maintenance tasks
- Maintain lawns through mowing, aeration, fertilization, and irrigation system installation or repair
- Support tree care activities including pruning, trimming, planting, and removal using appropriate equipment like chainsaws or excavators
- Perform snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access for clients and staff
- Conduct landscape maintenance routines such as weed control, mulching, and horticultural care to promote healthy growth
- Support excavation work for landscaping projects using equipment like excavators while adhering to safety standards
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction
- Experience or interest in lawn care, gardening, landscape maintenance, or horticulture preferred
- Ability to operate equipment such as excavators or snow plows is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions carefully and work efficiently outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good physical stamina for lifting, digging, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of landscape techniques including tree care, irrigation systems, hardscape installation, and general maintenance is advantageous
- Prior experience in construction or landscaping is beneficial but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential
