PRODUCTION PLANNING SUPERVISOR

Job description

Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the Production Manager, Direct and Coordinate the flow of work through the fabrication and other works areas to support overall production goals set by the management team.

  • Advocate for the production team and ensure they have what they need.

  • Be an active participant in releasing repetitive jobs.

  • Coordinate delivery, accuracy and thoroughness of the Instructions provided at laser and fabrication level that explain to the laser operator and fab personnel how the cut parts should be divided into separate carts to create manageable jobs.

  • Create instructions for various work areas as needed.

  • Support & supervise laser tracking, cut reporting, and nesting.

• Collaborate with building managers to support labor needed in fabrication or reassignment of labor in order to support production goals.

• Supervise the distribution of made parts to the floor after completion in fabrication.

• Participate in overall production planning with building managers daily to advance vehicles in both buildings; complete and release daily manpower schedules.

• Collaborate with quality control manager and QC team to ensure required inspections, checklists and tracking is maintained

  • Final Opaque Inspection Records

  • Support tablet based floor and FO inspection tracking

  • Find repeat deficiencies or defects, support corrective actions and process improvements.

  • In-process inspections – electrical

  • Coordinate Flow of Materials, Test Plates, Made Parts Orders & Reports

Generate Critical Production Repetitive Level Project Reporting

• Keep and Update CDL GFE Inventory, CDL Tooling Inventory, CDL Vehicle Tracker & Inspection Trackers

• Provide updates on the above to facilitate monthly reporting

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must be able to work in Microsoft Excel, Word and Smartsheet.

• Candidate must be Bilingual and fluent in both Spanish and English including the ability to read, write and communicate in both languages.
