About the Role
Scale Content Inc. is looking for an experienced News Anchor/Host to deliver original video coverage across news, politics, and current affairs. The ideal candidate will be a confident and engaging on-camera communicator with strong editorial judgment, political awareness, and the ability to make complex stories clear and accessible.
Key Responsibilities
• Present long-form and short-form news analysis, commentary, interviews, and breaking-news coverage with clarity, confidence, and authority.
• Monitor the news cycle and remain fully informed about political developments, breaking stories, and emerging public conversations.
• Work with the editorial team to identify lead stories and determine priorities for major coverage.
• Prepare for and lead coverage of elections, budgets, government announcements, debates, geopolitical events, and national crises.
• Research stories and guests, contribute original angles and interview questions, and collaborate with producers on scripts and segment development.
• Conduct authoritative interviews with newsmakers, political figures, analysts, and subject-matter experts.
• Translate complex political, policy, and international developments into clear, accurate, and engaging content.
• Help develop recurring formats, signature segments, and the programme’s overall editorial identity.
• Respond confidently to breaking news and adapt quickly as stories, scripts, and rundowns change.
• Participate in required editorial and production preparation while maintaining accuracy, impartiality, confidentiality, and high editorial standards.
• Willingness and availability to travel for field assignments, interviews, political events, major news coverage, and other production requirements.
What You Will Need
• Strong experience as a news anchor, host, political presenter, correspondent, interviewer, or on-camera journalist.
• Excellent editorial judgment and a strong understanding of politics, current affairs, international affairs, and the news cycle.
• A confident, credible, and engaging on-camera presence.
• Strong interviewing skills, including the ability to listen carefully, challenge claims, and ask effective follow-up questions.
• The ability to explain complex subjects clearly without losing accuracy or nuance.
• Strong research, scriptwriting, communication, and editorial collaboration skills.
• Experience presenting long-form interviews, analysis, explainers, breaking news, or live programming.
Compensation: USD $60,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience, skills, and overall fit.
