About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Semiconductor Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as the primary technical authority for our semiconductor initiatives. In this critical leadership role, you will provide deep domain expertise across the entire semiconductor lifecycle—guiding design, fabrication, packaging, testing, and validation. You will ensure alignment with industry standards, drive innovation, and support strategic business objectives through technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Strategy
- Act as the primary technical authority on semiconductor-related projects.
- Guide the design, development, validation, and optimization of semiconductor solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations for components and systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in semiconductor processes and methodologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to define technical requirements and project goals.
- Ensure all technical activities are aligned with overarching business objectives.
- Mentor and train engineering teams on semiconductor best practices and emerging technologies.
- Industry & Innovation Stewardship
- Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory standards.
- Champion innovation and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
- Support customer engagements, deliver technical presentations, and contribute to proposal development.
Required Qualifications & SkillsTechnical Expertise
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
- 12 years of hands-on experience in the semiconductor industry with expertise spanning design, fabrication, packaging, and testing.
- Deep knowledge of semiconductor process technologies, advanced packaging (e.g., 2.5D/3D, chiplets), and validation methodologies.
- Proven experience conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance analysis.
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., JEDEC, ISO, automotive/medical standards if applicable).
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical strategy and influence without direct authority.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong strategic thinking with meticulous attention to detail.
