The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for radiological procedures, accurately positioning patients, and safely operating X-ray equipment. This role ensures patient comfort while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and themselves. NEW GRADS WELCOME.

Position Summary
The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for radiological procedures, accurately positioning patients, and safely operating X-ray equipment. This role ensures patient comfort while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and themselves. NEW GRADS WELCOME.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients correctly, and performing X-rays in accordance with established patient care and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring proper functionality and reporting any malfunctions or concerns promptly to a supervisor.
- Utilize and maintain radiation protection and shielding equipment to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
- Accurately document and enter radiological procedure data into the electronic health record (EHR) system in a timely manner.
- Maintain examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness, proper stocking of supplies, and adherence to sterilization protocols for equipment and surfaces.
- Monitor and evaluate imaging results to ensure quality and accuracy, following established guidelines.
- Protect patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards in all interactions and documentation.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications and professional affiliations.
- Attend and actively participate in organizational meetings, trainings, and committees as required.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required; must be maintained in good standing.
- Active and unrestricted Indiana State Radiologic Technologist license required.
Salary : $26 - $30
