Job Description

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will oversee the on-site business office personnel, ensuring compliance with facility policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives. Key responsibilities include:
  • Insurance verification, scheduling of surgical procedures, and transcription of operative procedures.
  • Billing/coding/implant logs and pathology reports coordination with coder and biller.
  • Monitoring on-site business office timesheets for payroll reporting and troubleshooting computer issues and security.
  • Coordinating activities with other departments and participating in maintaining qualified personnel.
  • Environmental control of area and promoting a favorable image of the facility to physicians, patients, insurance companies, and the general public.
  • Ensuring patient privacy protection and contributing to the progress and development of the organization's adopted compliance program.
  • Overseeing scheduling tasks to maintain efficient patient flow and working closely with clinical supervisors.
  • Monitoring physician block time and making recommendations for effective utilization.
  • Scheduling for compliance with facility policies and procedures and serving as a positive liaison with physicians and their office personnel.
  • Backup scheduling and oversight of medical record maintenance to ensure timely dispensation of completed charts, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal and state rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Two years of medical facility or medical business office experience.
  • Supervisory experience, ASC, and strong accounting background in a medically related environment preferred.
