Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Independent Auto Appraiser role located in the New York City Metropolitan Area and Northern NJ. The appraiser will be responsible for conducting auto damage appraisals, generating accurate estimates, and assessing the scope of vehicle damage. Responsibilities also include inspecting vehicles in person, documenting findings, communicating with clients and adjusters, and ensuring timely submissions of reports. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, self-motivated, and capable of operating within industry best practices and compliance.
Qualifications
- Experience in auto damage appraisal and estimating vehicle repairs
- Knowledge of industry-standard software, tools, and appraisal systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration
- Attention to detail, organizational ability, and aptitude for maintaining accurate records
- Current, valid appraiser license (if required by the state)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Familiarity with insurance claims processes is a plus
- Proficiency in technology and willingness to learn new systems is preferred
