What You'll Do
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting workplace safety initiatives, reducing risk, and helping maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. This role works directly with employees and leadership to identify hazards, promote safe work practices, and implement continuous safety improvements.
Responsibilities
- Support SC2's commitment to a safe and injury-free workplace.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining safety policies, programs, and procedures.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and workplace audits.
- Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and new hire safety orientation.
- Perform risk assessments and identify opportunities to reduce workplace hazards.
- Work with supervisors and employees to improve safety awareness and accountability.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Track safety observations, corrective actions, and compliance activities.
- Assist with OSHA compliance and safety documentation requirements.
- Develop safety communications and employee education materials.
- Monitor workplace conditions and recommend improvements when hazards are identified.
- Support emergency preparedness and response initiatives.
- Prepare reports related to safety performance, incidents, and compliance activities.
- Assist with facility projects, repairs, and operational changes to ensure employee safety considerations are addressed.
Schedule
- First Shift
- Monday through Friday
- 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
- Paid lunch break
- Occasional overtime may be required to support operational, training, or safety initiatives.
