Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Healthcare Technology Management to lead the management and oversight of biomedical services at Genesis Healthcare in Zanesville, OH. This role requires a high-level leader with a proven track record in managing teams of supervisors and technical professionals in a large healthcare system. The Director will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of a wide range of medical equipment, while also providing strategic leadership and driving process improvements.

This position offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) professional to contribute to the operational success of Genesis Healthcare by enhancing patient outcomes and aligning clinical engineering services with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in biomedical services management, regulatory compliance, and team leadership, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Oversight of Biomedical Services: Manage the daily operations of biomedical services, ensuring that all medical equipment is properly maintained, compliant with regulatory standards, and functioning optimally.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, including CIHQ, DNV, and JACHO standards, maintaining the highest level of compliance and patient safety.
  • Project Management and Capital Planning: Lead and oversee capital planning and project management efforts to ensure the continuous improvement and modernization of healthcare technology.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to a team of supervisors and technical professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and professional development.
  • Talent Development: Mentor and develop new and existing talent within the organization, ensuring the team is equipped to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare environment.
  • Executive Leadership: Collaborate with C-Suite executives and other senior leaders to align HTM strategies with the broader goals of Genesis Healthcare.

Client and Vendor Relations:

  • Client Satisfaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring that clinical engineering services meet or exceed their expectations and contribute to overall patient care goals.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and manage partnerships with vendors, ensuring the timely procurement and maintenance of medical equipment and services.

Financial and Strategic Management:

  • Budget Management: Oversee the financial performance of the HTM department, including budget management, cost control, and the efficient allocation of resources.
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with regional HTM leaders to develop and implement strategies that drive operational effectiveness, enhance patient outcomes, and support the overall objectives of Genesis Healthcare.
  • Growth Initiatives: Identify and pursue opportunities for organic growth within the HTM department, leveraging technology and process improvements to expand service offerings.




Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Technology Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing biomedical services within a large healthcare system.
  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance with CIHQ, DNV, JACHO, and other relevant standards.
  • Executive and C-Suite experience, with a demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong background in project management, capital planning, and financial management within a healthcare technology context.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
