Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tractor Operator to join our grounds maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating tractors pulling a mowing deck on an Airfield ensuring the grass is maintained at a certain level. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment where your skills in landscaping, groundskeeping, and equipment operation will make a tangible difference.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractors and groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining constant contact and communication with air traffic tower using a walkie talkie radio.
- Ensuring equipment is properly maintained: blades sharpened, fluids checked, tire pressure, greasing deck, etc.
- Being fluent in English.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience operating grounds maintenance equipment such as large Tractors and 15ft to 20ft mowing decks.
- Must be able to pass a background check and have a clean record.
- Must have ability to pass a written flightline test.
- Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols while working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Prior outdoor work experience demonstrating reliability and physical stamina.
- Must have reliable transportation
Pay: From $26.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
