Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Hearing Officer based in Columbia, SC. The Hearing Officer will be responsible for conducting administrative hearings, analyzing evidence, and rendering decisions based on applicable laws and regulations. Additional responsibilities include preparing documentation for appeals, conducting thorough legal research, and ensuring due process is adhered to during all hearings.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Administrative Law and experience with conducting hearings
- Effective skills in Research and analyzing legal documentation
- Familiarity with Appeals processes and ensuring due process protections
- Background in Law Enforcement or related legal procedures is beneficial
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to make objective, well-reasoned decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred
