Job Summary
SC Construction is looking for a dependable, hardworking General Laborer to join our construction team. The General Laborer will assist with a variety of construction and job-site duties, help maintain a safe and organized work environment, and support skilled tradespeople and supervisors as needed.
The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, willing to learn, and takes pride in completing quality work safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist with general construction and job-site activities.
- Load, unload, carry, and organize construction materials and equipment.
- Clean and maintain job sites, tools, and work areas.
- Assist carpenters, framers, and other construction personnel.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment as directed.
- Perform demolition, digging, hauling, material handling, and other manual labor tasks.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and project managers.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Help set up and tear down job sites.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous construction or general labor experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry materials as required.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Skills
- Construction or remodeling experience.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools.
- Previous experience on residential or commercial construction sites for at least 2 or more years.
- Valid driver's license is a plus.
