Guest Services Associate – Seasonal: May – August 2026
Do you have extra time on your hands during the summer months? Why not join the Guest Services team to earn money and experience while having fun! This is a 7–10-week seasonal position ideal for college students on break, retirees looking for short-term work, and anyone looking to be a part of the South Carolina Aquarium.
Quick Highlights:
📅 Day shifts range from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; sign up for evening shifts that can range from 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Hiring now for May – August 2026.
🎉 Full availability during holidays is required; you can work up to 30 hours a week. At least one weekend day is required.

👕 Aquarium provides uniform shirts and outerwear
❄⛅ This is a standing, outdoor position during hot and cold months—bring your hospitable cheer to match your spirit!
💵 Pay is $14 per hour
What You’ll Do:
- Warmly greet guests and provide information on pricing, programs, and initiatives
- Sell and scan tickets with a smile (cash-handling exp required)
- Promote and sell memberships (computer exp required)
- Operate fun guest experiences like our virtual reality ride next to our Great Ocean Tank
- Assist guests with golf cart rides to and from the parking garage (valid driver’s license required)
- Assist with crowd flow, safety, and organization
- Use radio for communications
- Orient groups that visit for field trips (public speaking exp is a plus)
- Assist with opening and closing for evening events
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly, outgoing, individuals who enjoy working with people
- Experience in hospitality, tourism, retail, or customer service is a plus
- Must be available weekends, holidays, and some evening hours
- Comfortable with standing for long periods of time outdoors
- Team players who are flexible, adaptable, and ready to jump in wherever needed
