Job Summary

As a Field Engineer 1, you will be a vital team member on large-scale heavy-highway and heavy-civil construction projects. Your role will focus on supporting site operations, maintaining documentation, performing quality control, and providing technical support.

• Assist in developing project plans and schedules.
• Contribute to the implementation of project strategies and objectives.
• Work closely with project teams to facilitate effective communication.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating and delivering project-related communications.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including logs and reports, using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Utilize SharePoint and OneDrive for organizing and sharing documentation.
• Assist in managing relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates using PowerPoint and Excel for presentations.
• Support budget tracking and cost management activities using Excel and Viewpoint Vista ERP System.
• Help identify potential budget variances and contribute to cost-saving measures.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards and specifications.
• Use Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation for verifying compliance with design documents.
• Identify and report potential risks to project leads.
• Apply problem-solving skills to address and mitigate project challenges.
• Provide support to project team members and assist in fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to team development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in a construction environment, preferably in heavy-highway or heavy-civil projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation for interpreting and applying construction plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work on-site in various outdoor conditions.

Physical Demands

• Ability to work in a field environment, navigate construction sites, and handle on-site inspections and quality control measures.
