Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)Program Type: Adolescent Residential TreatmentEmployment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (12 hr shifts)Location: Calabasas / Agoura Hills, CAPosition SummaryThe Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct nursing care and medication support to adolescents receiving residential treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This role works closely with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure the safety, medical stability, and overall well-being of clients while supporting individualized treatment plans in a structured residential setting.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and monitor medications in accordance with physician orders and facility protocolsPerform medication counts, documentation, and reconciliation in compliance with regulatory standardsMonitor client health status, vital signs, and withdrawal symptoms as applicableObserve, assess, and report changes in client behavior, mood, or physical condition to clinical staffProvide nursing support for adolescents with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disordersRespond to medical and psychiatric emergencies following established proceduresComplete accurate and timely nursing documentation, including MARs, vitals, incident reports, and shift notesCoordinate care with physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and direct care staffAssist with client admissions, discharges, and health screeningsEnsure compliance with infection control, safety, and medication storage standardsSupport a trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and therapeutic milieuMaintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical and confidentiality standards (HIPAA)QualificationsActive, unrestricted California LVN license (or applicable state license)Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred; experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, or adolescent care strongly preferredExperience working with dual diagnosis populations (mental health and substance use disorders) a plusCurrent CPR/First Aid certificationKnowledge of psychotropic medications commonly prescribed to adolescentsStrong documentation, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced residential environmentAbility to pass background check, TB clearance, and other pre-employment requirementsSchedule & CompensationSchedule: Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon AM (7am-7pm), Tue PM (7pm-7am)Compensation: $33-$35Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a licensed adolescent residential treatment facility and involves regular interaction with youth in treatment, clinical staff, and families.
