Position Title: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)Location: Fountain Valley, CASchedule: Part-TimeCompensation: $22-$23 per hour Position Summary:The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays a key role in supporting the safety, structure, and overall therapeutic environment of clients receiving care in a outpatient treatment setting. The BHT works closely with the clinical and medical teams to monitor clients, assist with daily routines, and ensure a secure, recovery-focused atmosphere during all phases of treatment. Key Responsibilities:Monitor clients through regular rounds and maintain awareness of their behavior, safety, and needsConduct and document room checks, client observations, and shift reports accurately and on timeSupport clients with daily activities, including hygiene, mealtimes, and transitions between groupsAssist with new client admissions, orientations, and dischargesEscort clients to appointments or off-site programming when neededRespond to crisis situations and escalate concerns to clinical/medical staff appropriatelyMaintain a clean, orderly facility environment and report any safety or maintenance concernsEnforce facility rules and boundaries while maintaining a professional and supportive approachSupport group activities, meal times, and community responsibilities as directedWork collaboratively with the treatment team to provide consistent, compassionate care Shifts Available:AM Shift Qualifications:Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in a behavioral health, detox, or residential treatment setting preferredRADT or SUDRC certificationCPR/First Aid certification requiredStrong communication and observation skillsAbility to remain calm in high-stress or crisis situationsFamiliarity with Kipu is requiredMust be reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
