SBS Creatix is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a Network Security team within a broader Network Engineering organization. This team designs and supports network security technologies across the environment, giving you the opportunity to build security solutions tied directly to real business objectives. You'll work across multiple areas of IT to meet evolving business demands, growing your technical skills along the way. As your knowledge and ability to work across the environment increases, there's a clear path to greater responsibility and career progression through a variety of network security, engineering, and architect roles. In this role, you'll serve as a subject matter expert, using your technical knowledge to solve real business problems and represent your area on complex assignments, evaluating technology effectiveness and recommending improvements that raise quality and impact across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Configure and administer Palo Alto next-gen firewalls and related security platforms
- Perform end-to-end security analysis on solutions
- Ensure infrastructure and configuration standards are followed on project delivery
- Manage cloud security operations: identity and access control, secure configuration management, network security, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), data security, and logging
- Conduct risk assessment and analysis
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future
- 3 years of related engineering experience
- 2 years of network and cloud security experience (AWS/Azure)
- Experience creating and maintaining documentation, including architectural drawings and technical/operational standards
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and administering Palo Alto next-gen firewalls
- Strong communication skills, comfortable working across teams and technical/leadership levels
- Committed to building security into every decision and daily responsibility
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building and administering security devices like DLP and intrusion prevention systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, or related field
- Familiarity with scripting and content creation, such as Splunk dashboards and threat signature development
- Experience identifying security gaps and implementing configuration changes
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform
- Experience with firewall policy auditing/monitoring tools such as Firemon
- Experience with Cisco Firepower
- Experience with Palo Alto next-gen firewalls
