Job Description:
As an Electrical R&D Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting new product development within the Client's Aruba Networking lab.
Primarily responsible for designing, constructing, reworking, and testing prototype equipment for electrical systems and components, consistent with engineering and other applicable specifications.
Participate with engineering and other applicable specifications.
The ability to rework and repair SMT PCA's using Metcal and Air pencil tools.
Setup, run and monitor environment and regulatory system tests.
Help write basic test plans.
Develop and improve technician processes and techniques.
Work with both co-located and remote teams.
Experience Desired:
At least 4 years of relevant technician experience
Skills Desired:
Read and interpret schematics, printouts and specifications for hardware and systems.
Strong electrical and mechanical reworking skills.
Ability to set up network equipment highly desirable.
Knowledge of environmental and regulatory testing is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of hardware test equipment, including voltmeter, oscilloscope, pattern generator, logic analyzer.
Setup test equipment and measure electrical signals.
Strong sense of self-initiative and ability to work independently with minimal guidance from supervisors.
Solve technical problems with high degree of independent judgment and technical knowledge.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Working knowledge of MS Windows based PCs.
