Position Overview
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day hotel operations. This role ensures guest satisfaction, drives operational performance, and supports team development while maintaining compliance with Marriott brand standards and Company Policies.
Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence
- Ensure adherence to Marriott brand standards and Company procedures, staying current on all updates, trainings, and operational changes.
- Supervise and support departmental leaders and front-line staff in daily hotel functions.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house for cleanliness, maintenance, and brand compliance.
- Address guest feedback and resolve service issues promptly; all Medallia and third-party reviews must be responded to within 24 hours.
- Ensure proper onboarding, training, and ongoing development of all team members, including safety and brand SOPs.
- Prepare and oversee weekly payroll projections and schedule submissions using ADP.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead by example and foster a positive team culture through collaboration, coaching, and recognition.
- Conduct weekly team meetings and ensure department heads are aligned with hotel goals.
- Ensure professional appearance and behavior across all departments, including adherence to uniform standards.
- Support department managers in conducting timely performance evaluations and managing team performance.
- Protect company assets and uphold confidentiality of all proprietary and employee-related information.
Sales, Guest Loyalty & Revenue Support
- Monitor STR (STAR) reports, comp-set trends, and market shifts to support rate strategies and occupancy growth.
- Collaborate with the sales and front desk team to ensure Bonvoy Enrollment Goals are met and integrated into daily operations.
- Monitor and resolve any sales or loyalty-related guest concerns through proper communication channels.
Administrative & Systems Oversight
- Review and reconcile daily hotel performance and room revenue using Fosse.
- Maintain internal documentation, reporting, and communication with accuracy and timeliness.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all operations are compliant with local, state, federal, and brand-specific regulations.
- Partner with Human Resources, Engineering, and Loss Prevention to maintain workplace safety standards and ensure required trainings are up to date.
- Remain familiar with OSHA compliance and other risk management protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in hotel operations, with prior AGM or Department Head experience.
- Marriott brand experience strongly preferred; familiarity with Fosse and Stay PMS and ADP systems required.
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Pay: $55,204.68 - $60,000.00 per year
