Job Title: Sample Room Manager

Overview

The Sample Room Manager oversees the full lifecycle of sample production, ensuring all seasonal development styles are executed with accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with design intent. This role will prepare sewing notions and materials for sample makers, providing guide samples, and cross-department coordination while maintaining an organized and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities

Staff Management

• Create schedules for pattern makers, cutters, and sewers to ensure balanced workloads and clear deadlines.
• Train new hires on sample room standards, processes, and construction expectations.
• Address day-to-day issues, concerns, and individual accommodations for team members.
  
  

Development & Workflow Management

• Meet with the design team to review all current development-season styles and align on priorities.
• Work within established deadlines to ensure timely completion of each collection.
• Organize and maintain a pattern library, ensuring patterns are properly labeled, updated, archived, and accessible to design, PD, and production teams.
  
  

Fabrication, Trims & Materials

• Source and purchase trims, notions, and specialty materials needed for the collection.
• Prepare sewing notions and materials for sample makers, providing guide samples and clear construction notes.
• R&D new trims, fabrications, and notions to support innovation and garment development.
• Order and maintain inventory of sample room supplies and tools.
