This role is responsible for leading all store-level execution, training, and visual merchandising initiatives while ensuring brand standards, productivity, and profitability are consistently achieved across all retail partners. The Field Director will build, manage, and lead a regional Field Team, driving best-in-class in-store
presentation, sales performance, and retailer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Field Team Management
- Build, lead, and manage a Field Team of approximately 10 Field Representatives across key regions
- Establish clear directives, priorities, and execution standards for the Field Team and stores
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for all store-level execution
- Coach, develop, and performance-manage Field Team members to ensure consistent brand execution
- Consolidate and oversee all Field Team reporting to Corporate
- Act as the main liaison between Corporate teams (Sales, Merchandising, Design, Production, Planning) and the Field
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable store-level directives
- Ensure clear, timely, and consistent communication across all stakeholders
- Own all store training initiatives, ensuring all product knowledge training flows through the Field Director and Field Team
- Develop and deliver product knowledge seminars, training tools, and presentation decks for stores
- Partner with retailer teams to educate associates, department managers, and visual teams on product, fit, and brand storytelling
- Own visual merchandising standards and execution in-store and showroom environments
- Develop and communicate visual directives for stores and Field Team execution
- Oversee showroom visual merchandising to ensure brand consistency and best presentation
- Manage all shop installs, shop moves, fixtures, mannequins, and in-store hardware execution
- Ensure alignment with retailer visual standards while protecting brand integrity
- Partner closely with Retailer Department Managers, Visual Teams, and Store Design Teams
- Serve as the brand ambassador and advocate within retail environments
- Monitor and protect square footage and productivity by floor space
- Ensure optimal adjacencies and product placement within each store
- Secure outpost opportunities, double exposure placements, and window presentation opportunities
- Oversee and consolidate Field Team reporting, ensuring consistent, accurate, and actionable insights
- Report on sales vs. plan by store, including performance drivers and opportunities
- Gather and share key store-level feedback related to:
- Fit, quality, fabric, and damages
- Production or delivery issues
- Customer response and competitive insights
- Provide actionable recommendations to Corporate teams based on Field insights
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 8–12 years of experience in field leadership, retail operations, visual merchandising, or wholesale brand management
- Proven experience managing and scaling a multi-region Field Team
- Strong understanding of retail environments, floor productivity, and in-store execution
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience working with major department stores and specialty retailers
- Background in apparel, fashion, or consumer brands
- Experience collaborating with visual, store design, and merchandising teams
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
