Position Summary
The Designer, Wovens & Ready-to-Wear is responsible for the creative development and execution of the brand's woven apparel and novelty ready-to-wear collections across all categories. This individual will be responsible for designing approximately 15–20 SKUs per monthly drop across dresses, tops, bottoms, outerwear, matching sets, and emerging categories while collaborating closely with Technical Design, Product Development, Production, and Merchandising teams.
This role requires a designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can execute multiple product launches simultaneously, and has a strong understanding of garment construction, fabrication, fit, and market trends.

Key Responsibilities
Product Design & Collection Creation
- Design and develop monthly ready-to-wear collections across all woven apparel categories.
- Create approximately 15–20 new styles per monthly drop while maintaining a cohesive assortment strategy.
- Develop original concepts, silhouettes, fabrications, and garment details that align with the brand's aesthetic and business objectives.
- Design across dresses, tops, skirts, pants, shorts, jumpsuits, matching sets, outerwear, and special capsule collections.
- Introduce novelty concepts, fashion statements, and trend-right products that drive customer excitement and engagement.
- Translate creative direction from the CEO into commercially successful products that support growth objectives.
- Maintain a balance between fashion innovation, wearability, and profitability.
- Conduct ongoing market research to identify emerging trends, fabrics, silhouettes, colors, and competitive opportunities.
- Analyze luxury, contemporary, and premium fashion markets for inspiration and white-space opportunities.
- Develop seasonal and monthly inspiration concepts, mood boards, color stories, and trend presentations.
- Identify new product opportunities that align with customer demand and brand evolution.
- Stay ahead of industry trends while ensuring designs remain authentic to the brand's identity.
- Create detailed technical flats, CADs, and design sketches for all product categories.
- Clearly communicate garment construction, fit intent, trims, fabrications, and design details to development teams.
- Develop comprehensive design packages to support sampling and production.
- Maintain design accuracy throughout the product development process.
- Ensure all concepts are executable within timeline, cost, and manufacturing requirements.
- Partner closely with Product Development to source fabrics, trims, washes, and garment treatments.
- Collaborate with Technical Design throughout fitting processes to ensure design intent is maintained.
- Review prototypes, development samples, fit samples, and production samples.
- Provide clear fit, construction, and design feedback throughout development.
- Work with Production teams to ensure smooth commercialization and manufacturing execution.
- Resolve design challenges while balancing quality, cost, and calendar deadlines.
- Collaborate with Merchandising teams to build balanced assortments that support sales goals and category growth.
- Participate in line planning and assortment reviews.
- Analyze sales performance and customer feedback to inform future product strategies.
- Support pricing architecture and category planning initiatives.
- Ensure product offerings align with customer demand and overall business objectives.
- Own the design calendar and creative execution for monthly product launches.
- Manage multiple overlapping development timelines to support frequent product introductions.
- Partner with Product Development and Production teams to ensure all styles meet launch deadlines.
- Prioritize designs based on business needs, production feasibility, and market opportunities.
- Maintain flexibility to react quickly to emerging trends and business priorities.
- Attend fittings and collaborate with Technical Design teams to refine fit and garment construction.
- Ensure products meet brand standards for quality, wearability, and craftsmanship.
- Evaluate fit consistency across categories and recommend improvements where needed.
- Maintain design integrity from concept through final production.
- Serve as a key creative partner to the CEO in shaping the product vision and future assortment strategy.
- Present design concepts, trend research, and collection strategies to leadership.
- Contribute to long-term category growth and product innovation initiatives.
- Help evolve the brand's product assortment while preserving its core aesthetic and market positioning.
- 5 years of experience designing women's ready-to-wear within contemporary, premium, or luxury fashion brands.
- Strong experience designing woven apparel across multiple product categories.
- Demonstrated success developing novelty and fashion-driven products.
- Exceptional sketching, CAD, and technical flat creation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and related design software.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrication, and product development.
- Experience managing multiple product launches and fast-paced development calendars.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Technical Design, Product Development, Production, and Merchandising teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Strong fashion sensibility with an understanding of both creative and commercial design.
