SBC Auto Collision is seeking an experienced and motivated Auto Collision Estimator to join our team. We are looking for a driven professional with a growth mindset who understands the full lifecycle of collision repair operations and is ready to contribute to scaling a high-performing shop.
Position Overview
The Auto Collision Estimator plays a critical role in the success of our operation, from initial customer interaction to final delivery (“keys to keys”). This position requires a strong understanding of estimating, insurance processes, parts sourcing, and customer communication, along with the ability to operate independently while supporting overall shop profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Write accurate, detailed repair estimates for a wide range of vehicle makes and models
- Manage the repair process from intake to delivery (“keys to keys”)
- Communicate professionally with customers, explaining the repair process and setting expectations
- Work directly with insurance adjusters to submit, negotiate, and finalize estimates and supplements
- Identify additional damage and prepare proper supplements to ensure all repairs are captured
- Source and order parts accurately while minimizing delays and errors
- Maintain proper documentation and file management throughout the repair process
- Collaborate with the repair team to ensure workflow efficiency and timely vehicle completion
- Ensure all required payments documented and disclose to the customer, including obtaining proof of payment prior to vehicle release
- Deliver a high level of customer service and represent the company professionally
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Auto Collision Estimator
- Strong knowledge of estimating systems and repair procedures across various vehicle makes and models
- Experience working with insurance companies, including supplements and negotiation
- Understanding of parts sourcing, ordering, and vendor coordination
- Familiarity with independent body shop operations (highly preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple jobs while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently

Pay: $62,400.00 - $80,000.00 per year
