Immanuel Baptist Church (IBC) is prayerfully seeking a pastor who serves as the spiritual leader and primary undershepherd of the congregation. Their primary objective is to feed the flock through biblical preaching, provide compassionate pastoral care, and equip the church body to fulfill the Great Commission. They will model Christlike servant leadership and cast a compelling vision for the church’s future.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
Situated in southern West Virginia along the scenic U.S. Route 460 and Interstate 77 corridors, Princeton is a close-knit, historically rooted Appalachian community of around 5,700 residents. Located right outside of Princeton’s city limits, over 40,000 residents reside in neighboring towns and unincorporated communities such as Athens, Oakvale, Glenwood, Brushfork, etc. It’s the kind of place where community ties are strong, and you get to know your neighbors. Concord University, Bluefield State University, and Bluefield University are located approximately ten miles from the church.
Church Profile
IBC has served its community for almost eighty years. At its peak, Sunday morning attendance ranges from 180 to 230. Current attendance averages 200.
The Campus Includes
The church is debt-free! Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a strong sense of call to ministry
- Hold a Master of Divinity or be actively pursuing one
- Have at least five years of pastoral leadership experience
- Affirm and align with the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000
- Live within and engage the local community
- Lead a family that is willing to be involved in the life of the church, its ministries, and the surrounding community

- A two-story main building
- A multi-purpose building that includes a gym/fellowship hall, classrooms, commercial kitchen, bathroom/shower facilities to host mission teams, walking track, etc.
- Outdoor pavilion seating 200, full kitchen, restrooms, etc.

- Adequate parking facilities
