Imagine Your First 90 Days
Own the build: interpret prints, confirm customer requirements, and execute the build plan. Do the math: calculate unspecified dimensions; choose materials; lay out designs. Pinpoint accuracy: establish reference points and tooling holes using straightedges and precision measuring tools. Lead the crew: fit and assemble tooling components for aerospace customers; coach, inspect, and deliver on time. Fix what's needed: perform repairs and rework to keep tooling production-ready. Communicate visually: prepare sketches/drawings for the fabrication team. Get hands-on: operate lathes, Bridgeports, and grinders as needed. Adapt and assist: take on additional duties to hit milestones.
What Sets You Up for Success
- 5 years as a fixture builder in aerospace
- Fluency in GD&T and geometric tolerances
- CATIA V5 and ENOVIA familiarity is a plus
- Expert blueprint reading
- Clear communicator with strong math skills
- Highly organized with excellent follow-through; deadline-driven
- Exposure to ISO 9001 and AS91000 quality standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
