What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aerospace Jig and Fixture Tooling Lead position at SB Tool Company?
Lead the Build, Shape the Standard
Picture your day starting at the build bench, prints open, pen in hand. You translate ambiguous dimensions into precise realities, lay out designs across multiple materials, and establish reference points and tooling holes with careful measuring and a steady straightedge. You guide a small team to fit and assemble tooling components that keep our Aerospace customers flying on schedule. When a tool needs rework, you diagnose, repair, and return it to service. You sketch ideas for the fabrication department, and when the schedule calls for it, you jump on a lathe, a Bridgeport, or a grinder to keep the build moving. And yes—there are always "additional duties as assigned" that you tackle with confidence.
