Duties
- Lead and supervise a crew of landscaping professionals to complete grounds maintenance, planting, hardscape installation, and irrigation projects efficiently and to high standards
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport crew members, tools, and materials between job sites
- Oversee daily project tasks including lawn care, pruning, planting, irrigation management, and tree care
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of grounds maintenance equipment and landscaping tools
- Coordinate with clients and project managers to meet project timelines and specifications
- Enforce safety protocols on-site to maintain a secure work environment for all team members
- Identify plants, trees, and landscape features to ensure quality work and proper plant health management
Requirements
- Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening with outdoor work experience in various weather conditions
- Strong background in supervising teams and managing crew members effectively
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating company vehicles required
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, hardscape installation, horticulture practices, and tree care techniques
- Ability to identify plants and troubleshoot landscape issues confidently
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team on multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with grounds maintenance equipment operation including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation tools
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor labor including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with clients, team members, and project stakeholders
