Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine GMP inspections in production and packaging areas.
- Support food safety monitoring activities, including sanitation verification, pre-operational inspections, and environmental monitoring as assigned.
- Perform in-process and finished product inspections during production runs.
- Assist with food safety and quality activities during receiving, including visual inspections of incoming materials and documentation review as assigned.
- Review, complete, and file food safety and quality records in accordance with the FSMS.
- Identify and report non-conformances, and assist with corrective action follow-up.
- Support internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Communicate food safety concerns promptly to supervisors and the FSQA Manager.
- Follow all food safety, GMP, and workplace safety requirements at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Science/Food Science (Preferred)
- 1 years of experience in the food industry
- FDA experience (Preferred)
- Must be flexible with schedule.
- Availability to work afternoon shifts.
- Saturday availability required based on production needs.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, digital logs).
- Spanish required; ability to understand English is required.
