As a Materials Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring the materials needed for production are available when and where they're needed. You'll help maintain accurate inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and support purchasing and production activities that keep operations running efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and working across teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Monitor inventory levels for production components (including bottles, caps, and labels) and coordinate material releases with suppliers to maintain production schedules.
- Process material receipts, production bookings, and inventory transactions while maintaining accurate inventory records through cycle counts and reconciliations.
- Support purchasing activities by assisting with purchase orders, supplier communication, and inventory management processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in inventory, materials, purchasing, or a related field.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
