Role Description The Driver Recruiter is a full-time, on-site role based in Lisle, IL. This position is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified commercial drivers to support the company’s operational demands. Day-to-day tasks include posting job ads, reviewing applications, conducting phone and in-person interviews, and coordinating road tests and onboarding activities. The Driver Recruiter maintains accurate candidate and driver records, ensures hiring practices align with DOT regulations, and supports driver retention initiatives through regular follow-up and feedback. This role also involves collaborating with operations and safety teams, responding to driver inquiries, and providing professional communication and customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess knowledge of DOT Regulations and basic safety compliance practices related to commercial trucking.
- Candidates should possess skills in Hiring and recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding drivers.
- Candidates should possess experience with Driver Retention strategies, including relationship-building and ongoing driver support.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills for interacting with drivers, internal teams, and external partners.
- Relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or trucking recruitment is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Lisle, IL, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accurate documentation.
