Job Description
Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Warehouse
Reports to: Warehouse Foreman
Job Summary: A warehouse associate is essential to ensuring efficient and seamless warehouse operations. Their responsibilities include receiving, storing, handling, and shipping goods. Beyond inventory management, they also support floor moves and help maintain the visual standards of both the interior and exterior of all Saybrook Home locations.
General Responsibilities:

●Able to work a flexible schedule based on the company's needs and the tasks on hand that need to be completed
●Support SH with any and all necessary tasks
Warehouse Focused Responsibilities:
●Assist with quality control, inspecting product, and receiving duties
●Report damages to the Customer Care team for resolution
●Assist in unloading freight trucks
●Ticket and tag incoming merchandise
●Move freight to designated storage area
●Keep the warehouse, attics, and basements clean and organized
●Assist with any repairs needed due to technical and mechanical issues
●Prep merchandise for pick ups by inspecting product and carrying purchased merchandise to client's vehicles
●Assist with loading and unloading of delivery trucks
●Package/ wrap product for shipping/ delivery (ie., blanket wrapping, shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
●Properly scanning and updating merchandise location for accuracy
●Accurately use our POS (Ordorite) system to process all warehouse functions
●Prompt removal and disposal of trash and debris/packaging from incoming freight
●Make deliveries to customers as needed
●Clean trucks and van
●Assist with routine maintenance of all vehicles to ensure they remain in a working order
●Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use
Retail Store Based Responsibilities:
●Assist with maintenance of Saybrook Home properties including buildings, warehouse, parking lot and grounds
●Assist on the sales floor when necessary, including helping wrap items sold off the floor, inclusive of flipping rugs
●Assist Buyers with floor moves, and the reorganization of merchandise on the floor
●Uphold the visual standards of Saybrook Home
Physical Requirements:
●Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds plus regularly
●Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather conditions

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.50 – 40 per week
