Job Overview
Join our automotive team as an Auto Body Technician/Shophelper, where you’ll play a role in restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and care. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of automotive repair techniques, including auto body repair, welding, sanding, and painting. You’ll be performing structural repairs, fabricating parts, and assisting with vehicle maintenance—all while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring quality workmanship. A shop helper / apprentice is also needed .
Duties
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and cosmetic refinishing using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct welding repair tasks such as MIG welding, automotive welding, and fabrication repair techniques to restore vehicle frames and structures.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks like auto glass replacement, auto parts installation, and general mechanical repairs.
- Prepare vehicles for painting using sanding tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and automotive body refinishing techniques to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Support auto restoration projects by fabricating custom parts and performing structural repairs utilizing sheet metal and fabrication skills.
- Use automotive structural repair knowledge to ensure vehicles meet safety standards and industry specifications.
- Handle heavy lifting safely while working on complex repairs or moving parts around the shop environment.
Qualifications
- Previous hands-on work in an automotive body shop is preferred but not necessary for shop helper
- Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive repair equipment.
- Familiarity with auto painting processes such as airless paint spraying and automotive refinishing techniques.
- Knowledge of automotive parts installation, auto glass replacement, and vehicle cosmetic repairs.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team while maintaining high standards of quality and saftey

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
