What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Vice President Sales, A&E + Multi-Family Services position at SAY Group?
Senior Vice President Sales – Architecture, Engineering & Multi-Family Services
New York, NY (Hybrid – Must Live Locally)
About the Opportunity
We’ve partnered with a nationally recognized leader in building consulting and professional services to identify a Senior Vice President Sales who will lead and expand their fastest-growing segment the Architecture, Engineering, and Multi-Family Services division.
This opportunity is for a dynamic, growth-minded executive who thrives at the intersection of technical credibility, business development, and strong leadership. You’ll have the runway to shape go-to-market strategy, grow revenue, and elevate brand presence across the highly competitive New York market, all while leading from the front.
If you understand the A/E landscape, can “talk the language” of architects and engineers, and have the leadership presence to drive a team of seasoned sellers, this is your next big move.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing NYC-based sales organization, managing and growing a team of 5–6 sellers.
- Own the New York market — drive personal sales while leading strategic business development across A&E and multi-family sectors.
- Develop and execute market strategy targeting developers, REITs, property owners, and management firms.
- Partner cross-functionally with service leaders to deliver fully integrated client solutions and expand wallet share.
- Leverage your knowledge of major industry players and competitive dynamics to position the firm as a go-to market leader.
- Drive results through hands-on leadership, accountability, and high-performance standards.
- Represent your division in executive leadership forums, influencing strategy and growth plans across the organization.
What You’ll Bring
- 10 years of experience in architecture, engineering, or construction professional services, with 5 years in sales leadership.
- Deep A/E background, ideally started as an architect, engineer, or consultant before transitioning into leadership and business development.
- Proven ability to build and lead teams, set vision, and inspire performance. Strong leadership skills are a must.
- A well-established network across the NYC A/E community with an understanding of key competitors, clients, and market trends.
- Track record as a player-coach who balances strategy with personal revenue contribution.
- Consultative, relationship-driven sales approach. Confident leading complex, technical deals.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced credentials (PE, RA, etc.) strongly preferred.
- Must live locally and be comfortable working in a hybrid office schedule (NYC-based).
Why You’ll Love It Here
This is not a maintenance role, it’s a growth engine. You’ll lead the fastest-growing segment of the company, with the autonomy to build, innovate, and scale. You’ll have the full support of executive leadership and the brand power of a company known for excellence but the freedom to make your own mark.
We’re seeking a credible, NYC-based leader with the drive to expand market share, the discipline to build a world-class team, and the confidence to lead both strategy and execution.
