Product Owner – Business Intelligence
Location: Cincinnati, OH (must be local)
Engagement: 6-month Contract-to-Hire
Position Summary
We are seeking a Product Owner – Business Intelligence to lead and evolve enterprise BI capabilities with a strong emphasis on Microsoft data and analytics technologies. This role owns the BI roadmap and partners closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-impact, data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Ownership
- Define and maintain the BI product vision, roadmap, and priorities
- Balance feature delivery, enhancements, and technical debt using Agile practices
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and BI delivery teams
Stakeholder Engagement
- Gather and translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria
- Facilitate alignment and communication across departments
- Promote data literacy and adoption of BI tools
Delivery & Execution
- Oversee development and deployment of BI solutions using Microsoft technologies
- Ensure solutions are scalable, performant, and user-friendly
- Monitor adoption and continuously improve based on feedback
Technical Collaboration
- Partner with data engineers and architects on data models and architecture
- Ensure alignment with data governance, security, and privacy standards
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Product Owner or similar role supporting BI or analytics platforms
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft BI ecosystem (Power BI, Azure data services, Microsoft Fabric)
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- BI, Azure, or Product Owner certifications
- Experience with enterprise data warehousing or data lake architectures
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks
