Job Opportunity:
Saxe Doernberger & Vita, a national insurance coverage law firm with offices in Trumbull, Connecticut, is seeking a Paralegal with 5 years of experience who will be responsible for supporting multiple Attorneys in our Connecticut office. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters proactively and expeditiously and follow through on projects to successful completion, often under tight deadlines.
We are among the elite law firms in the country solely representing policyholders in insurance coverage disputes. We advise our clients on all manner of insurance coverage issues including policy placements, renewals, drafting policy language, contractual risk transfer and claims. We also litigate coverage disputes between our clients and insurance carriers.
Responsibilities
- Provide Paralegal support for multiple attorneys
- Manage complex litigation files
- Prepare pleadings
- Oversee filings in multiple jurisdictions throughout the U.S.
- Manage large amounts of documents and document productions
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in complex litigation
- Multiple jurisdictional experience
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from ABA approved paralegal program
- Experience working with various aspects of large case litigation
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently prioritize workload
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadline pressure
- Must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as oral and written communication skills
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
