Management Relationship: Manages a team of Print Coordinators both on-site & remote
About the Role

As the Graphics Department Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of Print Coordinators at the center of our creative operations while working as a Print Coordinator yourself. This role blends hands-on leadership with high-impact project management, overseeing client support, internal collaboration, and supply partner relationships in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment. You will own and optimize our artwork database tool (Manage Artworks “MA”), ensuring art projects move seamlessly from customer concept to supplier partner manufacturing —all while keeping the pace exciting and the standards high.
This individual partners closely with Customers, Sales Teams, internal stakeholders (Purchasing, Quality, Customer Care, Leadership), and Supply Partners to educate customers, eliminate roadblocks, ensure accuracy of art files, and bring speed to market to our customers.
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Team Leadership & Development: Building a high-performing Graphics team through clear direction, coaching, and fostering collaboration.
- Project Accuracy & Timeliness: Ensuring all artwork projects move seamlessly from concept to production with zero errors and on time delivery.
- Customer Satisfaction: Maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders by eliminating roadblocks and delivering exceptional service.
- Process Optimization: Driving continuous improvement in artwork database management, workflow efficiency, and training tools to deliver better than market timelines
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering effectively with Sales, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Care, and Supply Partners to meet business objectives.
- Innovation & Problem-Solving: Proactively identifying challenges and implementing creative solutions to keep projects moving in a demanding environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- All current Print Coordinator responsibilities for the product types you will personally manage
- Print/Design Vine Page Upkeep & Pilot lead time announcements
- 3rd Party Separator Vendor Relationships/Escalations
- Aluminum category prepress billing (invoice/po maintenance & monthly reconciliation with Finance/CS team)
- MA System vendor management, invoices, escalation, reporting oversight, etc.
- Creation and maintenance of both customer-facing and internal training tools as business requires
- Manage Can WIP/Supplier call invites/cadence
- Cross department collaboration with Supply Chain and Sales Leadership to support business growth initiatives
- Develop team of Print Coordinators holding them accountable to the expectations Saxco sets forth
- Manage equipment and software upgrades, renewals, and refresher training for the Graphics Department
- Support Quality team as needed to build processes, libraries, and tools to support Print Quality Claims on manufactured finished goods
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of related experience in print management and/or training (minimum 5 years’ experience in art or design role)
- 5 years in a leadership or management role
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and people skills; able to build relationships and influence across departments
- High attention to detail, follow-through, and commitment to operational excellence
- Strong critical thinking skills and adaptability to changing priorities
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), MS Office
- Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to a winning team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in beverage packaging industry
- Experience in prepress, sales, packaging manufacturing, or project management solutions
- Able to demonstrate the following qualities: creativity, organization, leadership skills, the ability to multi-task and problem-solve
